Since I know little about the city council, I began looking at some news articles and the city website for information. I found that three out of seven seats are up for grabs between nine candidates. Incumbents Paul Esslinger and Burk Towers will be back on the ballot, but Frank Towers will not run. The other candidates are:
Michelle Bogden, Michael Domke, Mark Madison, Dennis McHugh, Mary Meyst, Kent Monte and former city councilor Brian Poeschl.
The nine will be down to six after a primary on Feb. 21.
